We imagined a reincarnation owner's past residences to form a sense of continuity, another chapter created with the treasured memories that come with each piece. A mix of old and new encapsulates the design principle that we hold dearly when approaching historical dwellings - a sense of appropriateness and humility - honoring the lifestyle of the owners while manifesting the sophisticated atmosphere and rich detailing that belongs to a limestone in the Upper East Side. The result is not a new house, but a warm welcome and the sense of arriving home.
